 Peggy Witt

In Marpeggy_lr_closed_smile_2014_640ch of 2000 Peggy helped usher in a new era in real estate, opening Witt & Associates, Inc. - one of the first "Boutique Brokerages".  Her goal as managing broker and CFO: to deliver personalized, first class service, at all price points.   Drawing on her extensive knowledge of the buyer agency transaction as well as the staging and presentation of homes for sale, Witt & Associates soon became a success, closing more than $4.3 million in the first 6 months.

Peggy's consistent record of accomplishments throughout her career help lay the groundwork for this early success at Witt & Associates.  Almost a decade earlier while at RE/MAX she and Kerry earned a reputation as a formidable team.  With one assistant they closed 64 transactions in 1992 and at the same time focused on pioneering the buyer agency movement.  On top of that Peggy promoted professionalism and ethical behavior in the real estate industry.  In fact, she was pivitol in implementing agency disclosure as a matter of law.  The following year they took their partnership to a whole new level, marrying in 1993.

Prior to moving her real estate license to RE/MAX, Peggy affiliated with a "buyer only" real estate company where she soon became their top producer with sales in excess of $3.7 million in '90 and '91.  She embarked on her successful career in real estate immediately upon earning her license in 1989.

Peggy moved to Atlanta in 1979 and in 1980 she opened Howland Interior Design, a full service company working primarily with home builders including John Wieland Homes and The Carpenter Group as well as with buyers.  In 1988 she recieved two Gold Obie awards from the Home Builder Association of Metro Atlanta and in 1989 a Silver Obie for work she did for the Carpenter Group. It was while working with builders that Peggy noticed a lack of buyer representation.  This apparent need sparked her interest in entering real estate where she's been instrumental in initiating a number of much-needed changes in the industry.
